I hope to use this space to share the beginnings of our tiny homestead, the homeschooling of the kids, and just a place to bring you into our lives just a little bit.

Setting Down Roots
Once upon a time we lived in Alaska. And we were happy. But we were far from family. And we only had so much space to grow our garden and raise animals. So we decided that it was time to head south. It wasn't an easy move. Kodiak is not an easy place to leave. So many friends, the beautiful beaches, the smell of salt in the air, the sound of buoy 4 taking us our dreams. We traded it for the Palouse. It is so different. But we are loving it all the same. Wheat fields as far as we can see, the smell of hay drifting into my room at night, the sound of crickets taking us into our dreams. It's a strange place to be, that missing one place and loving and discovering another all in the same breath. But here we are.
I hope to use this space to share the beginnings of our tiny homestead, the homeschooling of the kids, and just a place to bring you into our lives just a little bit.
